The Final Stretch

Gosh, I can't believe the wedding is in less than a week! So exciting! ~ and yet, there is still a lot of work to do! I got into the Bay Area on Friday morning, after what seemed like 15 hours of flying (approximately 5.5 including lay-overs), and was immediately whisked to the Claremont to tie up some loose ends in regards to wedding planning.

My lovely photographer Eva met us to walk the property and select locations for shots -- can't wait to see what she comes up with for pictures of Tate and I...there are so many fun places to get pictures! She also gave me the disk of images from our engagement shoot, so, sometime this week I will hopefully post more for you...we also met with my "day of" coordinator, Noelette, who is so freaking phenomenal...not sure what I would have done without her, and actually, she stepped in for us, because our previous girl took off on maternity leave until about 2 weeks after our wedding. We went over some room configuration plans, and the logistics of the day, and then poured over the invoices, etc.

Friday night, I went with my aunt and uncle to Chow in Danville for dinner, and then promptly passed out as soon as we got home, and slept for about 11 hours -- wow, I definitely needed it, and it will probably be the most sleep I get all week. Saturday was spent in Berkeley...I went with my mom and aunt to Paper Source to select paper for our programs, place cards, escort card frame, and table numbers. I love Paper Source, such a great stationery store! The rest of Saturday I worked on the program in Microsoft Publisher, had my final dress fitting, and we had a quiet night in.

Today, my aunt, Pancho [the dog], and I went to Lafayette Reservoir to get in some excercise. It was great until it started raining half-way around, so, that made for a quick jog to the car around the other side. For the latter half of the day, I formatted and edited the program, designed and typed out all of the place cards, and I got everything ready to go to press tomorrow. I have to deliver the files to the printer, and make sure that everything fits on our designated stock. We also had dinner at my dad's tonight. He made chicken picatta and asparagus, and we brought over a mixed green salad with bleu cheese, tomatoes and scallions...it was so yummy!

I am really looking forward to tomorrow -- I have a trial run for my hair, and for my make-up, and we are planning on going in to Walnut Creek to do some shopping for the wedding, and to pick up some stuff to make a Welcome basket for Tate's family. I can't wait for everyone to get into town, and for the wedding mayhem to ensue...I feel like the past couple of days, and the next few are really the calm before the storm, but, it will be so much fun, and it will be fun with the families hanging out and getting to know one another better!

Anyway, it is time for me to get some sleep -- and I need to use my white strips -- btw, the Professional Strenght White Strips are $55! Can you believe that?! Ridiculous, right?!
