Feeling 'Gilt'y

So, I'm going to be totally honest -- I have the post-wedding blues. And it's not like I don't have anything to do, either...I am in charge of the Athletic Award Ceremony for our school, as well as a Biggest Loser competition on our campus (because let's face it, I have totally indulged after the wedding, and clothes are not cute on a chunk), but I am just feeling a little down, and have become slightly addicted to GILT.

If you have never been on GILT before, I will give you the 411...Gilt was created in 2007, and features flash-sales with women's and men's clothing as well as children's and home accessories selling for 50%-70% below retail...Hello! Can you now see why I am totally addicted?!

Because of the high demand, and limited quantities, you have to get things quick -- as in, if a sale starts at 11:00CST, you best have everything you want in your cart by 11:01 or you are S.O.L. Don't worry, though, the sales do stick around for 36-48 hours, and items pop back up if people put them in their carts and then don't purchase after 10 minutes, and there are PLENTY of finds to go around.

Items go on sale EVERY DAY at 11:00am CST, and they are fair game for all Gilt Groupe members. For those of you with Smart phones, there is a GILT app which will send you notifications as soon as sales open up so that you can log-on and get to shopping while everything is still available.
Over the past couple of weeks I have placed two orders, spent approximately $110 dollars and got about $700 worth of merchandise, including a C&C California top, Cynthia Steffe top, 2 American Apparel dresses, and a Design History "summer" cardi-vest.

Membership can be requested on their website, otherwise, it is invite only...if you want to check it out, and sign up, here's the link. Though please don't tell me that I didn't warn you, because you will become addicted. Happy shopping!
