Since I can remember, I have always been interested in the goings on of the English royalty. Prince Harry and I share a birthday -- literally day, month and year (he is approximately 3 hours older than me) -- so that may have something to do with it. I can honestly remember where I was when I found out Diana died, and how I sat in front of the tv, virtually glued to the coverage for hours at a time...and any type of event that has to do with them automatically piques my interest. Soooo, the fact that Prince William, and Kate got engaged, and were to be married so close to my own wedding day definitely had me mesmerized from day 1.
When my alarm went off at 2:45am on Friday, I immediately got the coffee brewing, perched myself on the couch and got ready to spend the early hours of the morning being captivated by English glamor and excess...and the wedding definitely delivered! It was well worth the sheer exhaustion that I felt the.entire.day.
I mean, wasn't Kate just sheer perfection?! She was insanely elegant, and so gorgeous...I loved how she didn't look too "done up" -- so classic, and beautiful.
And definitely could not miss this moment...please note the time at the bottom of the screen 7:29am. I am adamant about leaving the house at 7:20am so that I am not in a rush to be at work at 8am...I got there at 8:05 because of this!!!!
My Royal Wedding fascination would not be made complete without owning my own souvenir from the wedding, with all of the tacky nick-knacks out there, I knew there had to be something that I couldn't live without. So, after searching high and low for the perfect memento, I found an awesome, absolutely non-traditional item that could hang out in my house without becoming clutter...
Ahhhh, I love it!!! I think that this mug is so fantastic and cute!!! One side features Kate...

So fun, right?! And since we are coffee every morning type of people, I am sure this mug will get tons of fantastic use! I just love the colors! I found it on Etsy - so if you can't live without it either, you can buy one here!
Anyway, there is my Royal Wedding experience...I can't wait to get our wedding pictures back so that I can share more of our day -- not quite a Royal Wedding, but tons of fun nonetheless!
